Six bedrooms of 20 m². Nobody draws the short straw.
Most houses that sleep twelve get there by adding small bedrooms. Here it is the other way round: six rooms of around twenty square metres (215 sq ft) each. Five bathrooms and five separate WCs. Bed linen and towels provided.
Here is the detail, room by room, so you can sort out who sleeps where before you leave home.
| Room | Floor | Faces | Bathroom | WC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ground floor | West | En-suite — shower, basin | Private |
| 2 | Ground floor | West | Large private bathroom (bath and shower) across the hall | Separate, in the hall |
| 3 | Ground floor | West | En-suite — shower, basin | Private |
| 4 | Ground floor | East | En-suite — shower, basin | Private |
| 5 | First floor | East | Shared with room 6 — shower, basin | Separate, shared |
| 6 | First floor | West | Shared with room 5 — shower, basin | Separate, shared |
All six bedrooms have a 160 cm double bed (a UK king / US queen). They cannot be split into twin beds, so the house suits six couples, or families whose children share a bed.
Multiple areas to sit, no one was on top of each other.
Rooms 1 and 3 — ground floor, west
Two rooms on one level, each with its own en-suite: shower, basin and WC. Stone walls, terracotta floors, and a window onto the plane trees and the fields.
Room 2 — ground floor, west
On one level, with the largest bathroom in the house — bath and shower — across the hall and reserved for this room. The WC, separate, is also off the hall: it serves the living areas too, which stops twelve people converging on the same door on a dinner evening.
Room 4 — ground floor, east
The coolest room in the house, and the most independent. On one level, facing east onto the courtyard, with its own shower and WC and a door straight out to the garden: you can step out for coffee without crossing the house, or come in late without waking anyone.
We recommend it to anyone who does not cope well with heat — grandparents, for instance.
Rooms 5 and 6 — first floor
Two rooms under the beams, one facing east and one west, sharing a shower room with a separate WC. These are the quietest rooms in the house, away from the living room — and the closest to the games room.

- Please write to us before you book. This is an old farmhouse, and its layout was not designed for children who have only just started walking: stone staircases, changes of level, open terraces and a pool at ground level. We would rather describe it to you honestly and let you judge than have you discover it on arrival.
